The launch of the 17th Third-Party Lending survey

By Juanne Ongsiako
Residential Lending

2026 marks the 17th year of Agile’s Third-Party Lending survey. This annual survey is an industry-wide initiative that provides brokers the opportunity to share their experiences and sentiments on lender performance in the past 12 months, thereby directly influencing lender performance in the coming year. The results from the survey will then be collected into a compilation called the Third-Party Lending Report, which analyses the data to provide constructive feedback for lender consumption.

Brokers invited to share thoughts on lender performance in 2025

This initiative calls upon Australia’s brokers to assess lender performance in the past year, and share their experience of the broker journey with various lenders. Some of the areas touched upon include personnel, technology, products, communication, service, support, among other factors, which will then be collated into a report later in the year.

“This feedback helps lenders understand what’s working, what needs work and where they are falling behind,” said Oliver Stofka, Commercial Director at Agile Market Intelligence. “The more feedback lenders receive, the better experience they can deliver.”

Benefits of the Third-Party Lending Report

The Third-Party Lending Report is the culmination of the survey results, which identifies the pitfalls, service quality trends, and feedback from brokers. In summary, it serves as a benchmarking tool for lenders to understand their strengths and devise strategies to combat their weaknesses, thereby improving the broker experience journey.

“The Third-Party Lending Survey provides brokers the opportunity to share how they’ve experienced lender performances over the last year, allowing brokers to really provide honest feedback to the lenders,” said Michael Johnson, Director at Agile Market Intelligence. “Ultimately, helping both lenders understand how to improve and the industry as a whole work more efficiently to provide the best experiences for clients.”

Survey closes on 30 April 2026

The deadline of the survey is on Thursday, 30 April 2026. From the present until then, however, participating brokers have the chance to win $1,000 in prizes weekly. In total, contributors may draw up to a total of $10,000 until the survey’s closure.

About the report

Agile Market Intelligence conducts the Third-Party Lending Report, an annual review of lender performance based on Australia’s residential and commercial broker sentiments. It is a community-driven knowledge base of lender performance that offers transparency to the market by surfacing these collective insights from the broker community. This provides brokers the opportunity to share their experiences and insights, and enables lenders to benchmark and improve their performance.
