ubank rated highest among small non-major banks in Broker Pulse's 2025 Third-Party Lending Report

The results of Broker Pulse's 2025 Third-Party Lending Report of residential mortgage brokers indicate that ubank has the strongest third-party channel offering among small non-major banks.

Announced today to participating brokers, the 16th year and latest results from Broker Pulse’s 2025 Third-Party Lending Report derived from a survey of 1,000 residential mortgage brokers indicate that ubank has the strongest third-party channel offering among the 13 small non-major banks included in the survey. 

ubank received a rating of 79 per cent of the maximum score from 237 brokers across the 16 attributes measured in the annual survey conducted between February and April 2025, which explored each lender’s products, personnel, speed, support and technology. 

“ubank continues to raise the bar for small non-major banks in broker,” said Oliver Stofka, Commercial Director at Agile Market Intelligence. “Their consistent performance across the board, especially in speed, support and technology, has made a strong impression on brokers this year. Ranking first for turnaround times, settlement, and digital tools shows ubank’s clear commitment to improving broker experience where it matters most.”

This is the second year that ubank has topped the small non-majors segment, with its broker rating increasing from 77 per cent to 79 per cent year on year. 

Earlier this year, Ubank rebuilt its mortgage broker platform to streamline the digital home loan lodgement process that sits at the heart of its broker strategy and complements its compelling two-day assessment timeframe.

This high level of service is visible in the ratings, as ubank was ranked first in 4 of the 16 attributes and ranked very high in the remaining 12. ubank’s increased service was most evident across the speed, support and technology range, notably, receiving the highest score for turnaround times, settlement, digital tools and online resources as well as document submission across the 13 small non-major banks.

Now in its 16th year, the annual survey of mortgage and finance brokers asks participants to rate the performance of the lenders that they have worked with over the last 12 months. This year, 1,000 residential mortgage brokers completed the survey, providing a wide variety of views and experiences in the process. 

The results of the annual survey paint a holistic picture of the performance of all lenders in the third-party lending channel and provide insights to lenders on how they can improve their proposition in the marketplace while informing brokers of those lenders outperforming others.
